Work on something
that has to work.
Carbonjour is building the first Direct Ocean Capture projects in China. We hire slowly and expect people to own a piece of the project.
What we are building.
A Direct Ocean Capture plant in Lingao, Hainan: 50,000 t/yr gross capture, with MRV designed to Isometric DOCS. Behind it, a repeatable model for the next sites.
The work spans project engineering, permitting, power and storage agreements, MRV design, offtake structuring and project finance. It is early-stage, so the scope is broad and the problems are real.
Where we need depth.
Three areas, one project team.
Process, balance of plant, construction and commissioning. Experience with first-of-a-kind projects matters more than a specific sector.
Environmental approval, sea use, land, grid connection and local coordination in Hainan.
Monitoring, methodology alignment, verification and offtake documentation for international buyers.
Open roles.
No roles are listed at this moment.
We keep CVs for engineering, permitting, MRV and finance. If the project matches what you want to work on, write to us even if there is no listing.
How to apply.
Email djh@carbonjour.com with a CV and two paragraphs: what you have delivered before, and what you want to own here.
We reply to every application we can act on. If there is no fit now, we keep the CV for when a role opens.
